Sun Burst

Responding to a commission from the Royal Academy Editions, this work by Sebastian Bergne explores the single sheet of paper as an object rather than a surface. Both sides of the page have been explored and the boundaries pushed to the extreme; piercing and extending beyond the edge of the sheet. Working with the RA Schools, one side of this multi-faceted work has been screen printed with glowing, ombre colour. On the other, a series of digitally cut incisions pierce the surface of the paper to allow parts of the work to be folded forward to form a powerful multi dimensional piece.
